Choosing an idea for a business seems easy, but choosing the “right” idea is somewhat harder. Most serial entrepreneurs will think of an idea on a weekly if not daily basis. If time permits, they will develop that idea, spending countless hours drawing up diagrams of how the product will work, how the business will be structured; all without research of whether the market will accept their idea.
Here’s an interesting video of Josh Petersen, one of the co-founders of 43 Things, speaking at Seattle 2.0’s StartupDay 2009, on how to come up with ideas and how to choose which of your ideas is the best one. The presentation runs for approximately 20 minutes and encourages you to think about which of your ideas is the right one to progress.
